Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration - Lucy Wilkins

Lucy works as an Administrative assistant in the Somerset County Council’s Frameworks team.

Lucy fast-tracked her Apprenticeship and completed her Advanced Apprenticeship nine months early. Lucy has steadily gained responsibility, developing business processes and contributing to a procurement exercise that will lead to efficiency savings within the Council, which benefits the local community.

With slowly deteriorating eyesight and the need for hearing aids, Lucy has also taken on the role of Disability Representative and has contributed to improving services for disabled people in the workplace.

'An Apprenticeship is a good way to learn and work at the same time. You get to meet few people and improve your skills and knowledge whilst at the same time knowing that you will have a job at the end of the process.'

'Go for it, believe in yourself and be proud of your achievements and obtaining a qualification and a job.'
