Communication Technologies (Telecoms) Apprenticeship - Engineering

Apprentices work in a broad-based industry that covers the design, manufacture, distribution, resale, installation, maintenance, operation and support of voice, data and image communications systems. Apprentices need to be flexible and multi-skilled.

This sector is important for the growth of the UK economy in the 21st Century because it helps build and maintain the technologies that keep UK businesses running.

Large-scale recruitment and increased skills are essential if the UK is to continue being a big player in the contact centre market.

The Sector Skills Council e-skills UK aims to improve general skills in IT in the UK and covers information technology, telecommunications and contact centers. For more information, visit: www.e-skills.com This link opens in a new window
