Engineering Apprenticeship - Construction

There is a wide range of engineering career options supported by Apprenticeships. These include manufacturing, design, aircraft engineering, instrument servicing, technical servicing, systems maintenance, and electrical and electronics servicing and production. Apprentices may do welding, pipe-fitting, mechanical fitting, plating or steel erecting. In the offshore sector, there are opportunities for maintenance careers. The industry also requires design, draughting and non-destructive testing apprentices. For more information, visit http://www.semta.org.uk This link opens in a new window

If you are under 19 and thinking about taking up an Apprenticeship, you may want to discuss the details with a Connexions Personal Adviser. You can also go to ‘What next?’ to get in touch with someone who can help with your query.

Alternatively, if you are over 19 years of age you can contact your local Jobcentre Plus for additional help and advice. For more information, visit http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk This link opens in a new window
