Something for everyone
At the moment there are more than 200 Apprenticeships available across more than 80 industry sectors.
The Government plans to expand this range of choice.
More than half of apprentices currently train in just four sectors: manufacturing and engineering, retail, business administration and construction.
Qualifications in media studies are also quite popular, although there are fewer paid jobs available at the moment.

There are several different types of Apprenticeships available within each sector. For example, the construction sector has training for building services engineers, electrical and electronic servicing, plumbing, the timber industry and more.
