Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships
Are open to anyone in England and not taking part in full time education, and involve working and training with an employer, whilst working towards qualifications through a learning provider.
They can last between one to four years, depending on the Apprenticeship and sector of industry.
They lead to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), key skills qualifications and, in many cases, a relevant technical certificate.
