QCA is the authority for qualifications, curriculum, assessments and standards. The range of QCA's activities in developing curriculum and qualifications for learners of all ages, regulating assessments and qualifications and modernising the delivery of tests and examinations. QCA's overarching purpose is to create a set of circumstances in which people of every age and stage of life are inspired to participate in learning. QCA is carrying out fundamental and substantial work on 14-19 Education and Skills Reform. It is intended that the 14-19 education reforms will increase participation rates beyond the age of 16 increasing opportunities for individuals and enhancing the nation's competitiveness.
