Spectator Safety

Spectator Safety is aimed at those individuals looking to enter the industry as a steward, marshal, or an assistant ground safety officer for large scale sporting events.

There is an increasing demand for occupationally competent stewards due to the popularity of professional sport throughout England including, Football, Rugby, Tennis, Horse Racing, Motor Racing, Cricket, as well as major indoor sports like Ice Hockey and Basketball to name a few.

On the Intermediate Level Apprenticeship you could work as a Steward, monitoring crowds and dealing with problems; or as a Marshal, helping to provide for the health, safety, enjoyment and security of spectators.

As an Advanced Level apprentice you could work as a Grounds Safety Officer, helping to resolve conflicts, overseeing and assisting in the safe operation of the ground.
