Health - Perioperative Support

This Advanced Level Apprenticeship aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to become competent in supporting health professionals within the operating theatre department.

Perioperative/theatre support workers work alongside Health Professionals such as surgeons, nurses and operating department practitioners to provide patient care within the hospital operating theatre department.

Designed as a work-based programme this Advanced Level Apprenticeship includes qualifications at QCF Level 3. The average duration for completion of this Apprenticeship is 18 months.
