Health - Clinical Healthcare Support
This Apprenticeship aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to become competent in supporting health professionals – such as doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and healthcare scientists – to provide clinical healthcare.
As an apprentice, you could work in various clinical healthcare support roles (for example as a clinical healthcare support worker or healthcare assistant) alongside health professionals to provide patient care in a range of settings.
Designed as a work-based programme this Apprenticeship includes qualifications at QCF Level 2 and 3. The average duration for completion of an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship is 12 months and of an Advanced Level Apprenticeship is 18 months.

Advanced Level Apprenticeships
The job roles for Advanced Level apprentices are the same as Intermediate Apprenticeships; however apprentices would have additional responsibilities. E.g. supervising junior teams members, taking physiological measurements and carrying out more complex clinical procedures such as wound care.
