Heating and Ventilation
This Apprenticeship covers a wide range of skills and occupations within the Heating, Ventilating industry. From keeping us warm at the cinema to keeping blood at the right temperature for lifesaving operations.
In this area you could work as a fitter, installing and repairing heating and ventilating systems; you could be a welder, using specialist skills to join pipework systems; or you could install the ductwork that either provides clean air to, or extracts air from, parts of buildings.
On the Intermediate Level Apprenticeship you could work as a Heating and Ventilating Installer, working under minimal supervision to complete the installation, testing and de-commissioning of industrial and commercial heating and ventilating pipework systems, including hot water, cold water, fire protection, heating (including gas pipework carcassing) and compressed air systems.
Alternatively on the Advanced Level Apprenticeship you could work as a Heating and Ventilating Welder, completing and overseeing the installation, fabrication, welding and specialist jointing of industrial and commercial heating and ventilation pipework systems; or as a Heating and Ventilating Service and Maintenance Engineer completing and overseeing servicing and maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, rectification and modification of complex heating and ventilation systems, components, pipework and appliances.
