Searching for vacancies

An Apprenticeship not only trains individuals in the skills employers want, it also opens up further career and learning opportunities. Individuals can carry on working, do more advanced training or even go on to higher education.

It is easy to search and apply for Apprenticeship vacancies. Potential apprentices simply need to follow the steps below.


Step 1 - Register their details

Go to Apprenticeship vacancies and register their details by clicking the 'Register now' link under the 'New User?' tab.

Then create username and password. The need to remember to keep their username and password safe.

They'll receive a confirmation email sent to their inbox. Individuals must click on the link in the email to activate their account. This link opens a window to their 'MyHome' page.


Step 2 - Create their 'MyHome' page

The potential apprentice's 'MyHome' page is their secure space. They can use it to;

  • Search for Apprenticeship vacancies and save their search results
  • Log their areas of interest (e.g. business administration)
  • Manage their applications

Step 3 - Search for their match

Search for Apprenticeships that match their interests by;

  • Occupation/job role
  • Employer
  • Keyword
  • Learning provider (e.g. college)
  • Location/postcode (e.g. Leicestershie)

Step 4 - Browse their results

They can click on any of the listed vacancies for more information. Each listing gives detailed information about the job, including the employer, training, pay and the qualifications they will be working towards.

They can save their search results, so the result are easy to access at any time, or start a new search.


Step 5 - Manage their future

Once they've found the job they want, applying is easy.

The application form is simple, secure and reuseable, so they can respond to as many vacancies as they like, and save their application forms.

They can view the status of their applications and manage them online.
