Bournemouth and Poole College will be holding a Skills and Apprenticeship Day, where learners can experience different skills areas and employers can see what is on offer at the college.


Apprentices in Plymouth will visit old people's homes to provide hair, beauty and pedicure to the elderly.


There will be a Year 11 presentation to pupils from Cleeve School, Chipping Campden School and Tewkesbury School.


Five apprentices from Exeter College will assist the Southgate Hotel Executive Chef in cooking demonstrations to prospective students from local schools, St Peters, Teignmouth and West Exe. School students will also take part in a table layout activity before finishing with a speech from the college’s Advance Apprenticeship Student Award winner.


At Jobcentre Plus in Swindon, Swindon College will be running an Apprenticeship Awareness event.


At South Devon College there will be an introductory taster to L4 progression routes for Advanced Apprentice Plumbers from 11am – 12.30pm.


Dorset County Council has arranged several visits and shadowing opportunities throughout the week. Groups of apprentices are meeting with various staff from the Council including meetings and visits at the County Council as well as Weymouth & Portland District Council, North Dorset District Council and West Dorset District Council with amongst others the Trading Standards Divisional Manager, the Council’s Principal Architect and the PR Manager.

At Delphi Diesel Systems Ltd, Stonehouse Gloucestershire, 12 - 8pm in Gloucestershire there will be an apprentice open day, where young people and parents can come along, talk to existing apprentices, have a tour of the plant and discuss the Delphi Diesel Systems Apprenticeships programme with managers.


Axe Valley Community College, Devon will be having a Year 11 Apprenticeship Day.


At an FE, HE Collaboration Conference, John Chudley (Regional Director for the NAS) will be presenting a seminar on Apprenticeships and the progression to Level 4 and beyond.


Exeter College apprentices from the hospitality department will be taking part in cooking demonstrations and assisting the Barista demonstrations at this annual exhibition for the hospitality industry - Westpoint, Exeter, 9am-4.30pm.


Automotive Apprentices from Exeter College will spend the morning carrying out free tyre checks for shoppers at a local supermarket, to ensure tyres are in a safe and roadworthy condition.


Key Training will be at the Brunel Shopping Centre in Swindon on 2 and 3 February to raise awareness of Apprenticeships to employers and apprentices.

Connexions Somerset will hold a careers event focusing on Apprenticeships, promoting Apprenticeship vacancies and promoting Apprenticeships to parents as employers.


The first South West Apprenticeship Ambassador meeting is taking place at Bournemouth and Poole College with food being provided by Hospitality and Catering apprentices from the college’s restaurant.


Bicton College will open its doors to the local community between 10am -12pm, giving them the opportunity to see our apprentices in action and find out more about the type of work they do. Activities will include: Floristry, Animal Care and Agriculture.


Exeter College apprentices from the hospitality department will be taking part in cooking demonstrations and assisting the Barista demonstrations at this annual exhibition for the hospitality industry - Westpoint, Exeter, 9am-4.30pm.


SBC Integrated Youth Service is hosting an event at the Swindon Marriot providing information event for parents, 15-18 year olds by IYS, HR, Capita and apprentices.


At South Devon College there will be an introductory taster to L4 progression routes for Advanced Apprentice Electrical Installation from 11am – 12.30pm.

NAS SW will be holding an learner and employer event in Bristol 'Young People's Voices on Apprenticeship'. This will be a unique event created and hosted by young people, about Apprenticeships. The event will give employer's the chance to have an open and honest discussion with young people and businesses who are currently involved in the Apprenticeship programme.


At Swindon Nova Head School –there will be a Careers Teachers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) event.


Exeter College will launch a new qualification suite going from 14 to 24 frameworks, including Apprenticeships in the progression pathway.


There will be an Apprenticeship presentation at Wiltshire College with Regional Director John Chudley attending.


In Bristol there will be the launch of the South West Forum in association with The Edge Foundation.


South Devon College will be hosting an employer lunch.


A group of marine apprentices from Paragon Training in Dorset will deliver a bespoke boat to help teach safety messages to children, which has been created and fitted by the apprentices themselves.


“The Fly Off” – 14-16 aerospace course awareness event with West Exe Technology College students at the Exeter College CCI building.


At Swindon College an Apprenticeship Awareness event will be taking place at the West Swindon Centre.


Apprentices from Avonvale Training will be making-over a local community building in Chippenham.

South West Apprenticeship Company and NAS SW will be holding an employer event at Gloucester Rugby Club from 12pm - 2.30pm. The event organised in partnership between Gloucester Council Council, South West Apprenticeship Company, NAS SW and Gloucester College.


Jeremy Brown MP for Taunton will be visiting Pharmacy apprentices at Musgrove Park Hospital.


Wadham School in Crawkerne, Somerset will be hosting a Year 11 learner event containing Apprenticeships.


'Women in Construction' taster Event for local Year 9 girls, at Exeter College’s Falcon House centre, Exeter.
