Allied Construction

Allied Construction see training, particularly through Apprenticeships, as an essential investment in the future of the company and the future of the construction industry.

One of the largest multi-trade construction companies operating in Essex, Allied Construction operates in an industry sector where up-to-date qualifications, standards and knowledge are vital to the safe and successful operation of the business. The company has embraced Apprenticeships and currently has six employees undertaking an Apprenticeship. A combination of college based training at Prospect College and on the job training alongside experienced staff allows their apprentices to develop technical as well as personal skills.

Allied Construction puts training at the heart of its operations, continually looking for new recruits to train and ensuring its employees maintain their industry knowledge. The focus on Apprenticeships and high quality industry specific training allows the company to have a fresh approach; training is conducted at college on day release, but also on the job with apprentices working alongside skilled staff. This develops a team spirit and high morale and allows the company to deliver bespoke training into their own policies and procedures.

The company sees training as a necessity, not a luxury and believes it is important to maintain an ongoing assessment of the internal training needs whilst anticipating the changes in the external environment that will dictate new skills and knowledge that apprentices may need to embrace.
